Chromogisaurus was a tiny, speedy dinosaur that lived in Argentina during the Late Triassic. It was one of the very first long-necked dinosaurs, but it was only about as long as a small car!1

Chromogisaurus lived about 232 to 230 million years ago, during the Carnian stage of the Late Triassic.1
Its name means 'color earth lizard' because it was found in the 'Painted Valley' (Valle Pintado) in Argentina, which has colorful rocks.1
